According to a research study completed at Rutgers University, in addition to exercise and healthy living; flowers are on the list of prescribed means to improve your emotional health. Flowers trigger happy emotions in your brain and heighten your feelings of life satisfaction.
Believe it or not 1-800 Flowers may be one of the answers to help people reduce stress and anxiety. The Rutgers study revealed that in the presence of flowers participants felt less depressed, anxious, and agitated after receiving flowers.

No wonder so many boyfriends, girlfriends, husbands and wives utilize services such as 1-800 Flowers when they're trying to impress their partner. They probably were unaware that flowers could have long term positive effects on their partner's mood and some may have merely thought that dialing 1-800 Flowers was a more convenient gift option in today's hectic life.

The greatest benefit of the Rutgers study is that it doesn't only affect women or men. The results were universal and encompassed all age groups.
